Head of Security

The Head of Security plays a vital role in safeguarding the activities, members, and interests of the Pokuase Youth Association (POYAS). The office is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all security-related matters to ensure that every programme, meeting, and community event is conducted in a safe, peaceful, and orderly environment.

Working in close collaboration with the Executive Committee, local security agencies, community leaders, and volunteer teams, the Head of Security develops proactive measures to prevent security risks, maintain public order, and respond effectively to emergencies. The office also provides strategic advice on safety protocols and ensures that appropriate security arrangements are in place for major events, including the annual Pokuase HomoFest, community clean-up exercises, youth programmes, and other Association activities.

Beyond event security, the Head of Security promotes awareness on personal and community safety, encourages members to uphold discipline and respect for the rule of law, and fosters strong partnerships that contribute to the peace and stability of the Pokuase community. Through effective planning, vigilance, and collaboration, the office helps create an environment where members and residents can confidently participate in activities that promote unity, cultural heritage, and sustainable community development.

The Head of Security remains committed to supporting the vision of POYAS by ensuring that security, safety, and public confidence remain at the heart of every initiative undertaken by the Association.
